Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

Welcome to CanYouMod, operated by Zhang ("we", "us", "our"), an individual / sole trader operating under the laws of the People's Republic of China. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of canyoumod.com, including the game-moddability checker, the game and engine guides, and the paid CanYouMod Recipe Pack (together, the "Service").

By using the Service or buying the CanYouMod Recipe Pack, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian to make a purchase; (b) have read, understood and agree to these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are allowed to agree to them for yourself or the organisation you represent. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. The Service

2.1 What we provide

CanYouMod is a free, unofficial guide that helps you decide whether a PC game is a good starting point for universal-modder, the MIT-licensed modding plugin for Claude Code and other coding agents by rehan-remade. We are not affiliated with rehan-remade, Anthropic or any game developer, and we do not make, run or host the plugin or any mods.

2.2 Nature of the Recipe Pack

The CanYouMod Recipe Pack is a digital, intangible product: a ZIP of documents (engine recipes, prompt chains, troubleshooting notes and templates). Access is delivered immediately after payment is confirmed, on your download page and by email. Because delivery is instant, refunds follow section 7.

2.3 Third-party AI tools

The pack contains prompts for AI coding agents you run yourself (such as Claude Code). We do not run any AI model for you, and we do not sell access to one. Your agent, model and asset costs are separate and governed by their providers' terms.

3. No accounts; your download link

The Service has no user accounts. Each purchase gets a private download link, shown after checkout and sent to the email address you entered at checkout. Anyone with that link can download the pack, so keep it private and do not share it. Please use an email address you can access; we use it to deliver your purchase and answer billing questions.

4. The Recipe Pack and pricing

The CanYouMod Recipe Pack is sold as a single one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and never renews. The current price is shown on the Recipe Pack page and at checkout. Every verdict, route and starter prompt on the rest of the site stays free.

5. Billing and payment

5.1 One-time payment authorization

Each purchase is a single transaction. By completing checkout you authorize a one-time charge to your payment method for the amount shown at checkout. We never store your card and never charge you again without a new purchase.

5.2 Payment processor

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake. Your card statement shows the descriptor configured with Waffo Pancake; if you do not recognize a charge, email us before contacting your bank (see section 8).

5.3 Taxes

Applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST or sales tax) are calculated and shown at checkout where required by law.

6. Delivery and access

• After payment you are taken to your download page; we also email you the same link.
• You can re-download the pack from that link at any time while we offer it.
• If you paid but did not receive the link, or a file will not open, email [email protected] with your checkout email and order ID. We will resend or fix it.

7. Refund policy

7.1 All sales are final

The CanYouMod Recipe Pack is a digital product delivered instantly and cannot be returned. Once your purchase is complete, it is non-refundable. By completing checkout you ask us to deliver the download immediately and acknowledge that, where the law allows, you lose any right to cancel once the download is made available.

7.2 Exceptions

We will still refund you in full when:

• Duplicate charges: you were charged more than once for the same order because of a billing error.
• Not delivered: you paid but we cannot deliver a working download after you contact us (see section 6).
• Statutory rights: applicable law (for example, consumer law in the EU, UK or Australia) gives you a refund right that cannot be excluded by contract.

7.3 How to request an exception

Email [email protected] from the address used at checkout, with your order ID and what went wrong. We confirm within 2 business days; approved refunds go back to your original payment method, and banks usually take 5–10 business days to show them.

8. Billing disputes

If you think a charge is wrong, please email [email protected] before opening a dispute with your bank. We reply within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. Content and intellectual property

9.1 Your mods and agent output

Mods, code and other output you create with your own AI agent belong to you, subject to the game's own license and the rights of its publisher. The checker runs without uploads, so we never receive your game files or prompts.

9.2 Recipe Pack license

When you buy the pack, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use and adapt it for your own modding projects. You may not resell, republish or share the pack files (or your download link) as a whole or in substantial part.

9.3 Open-source material

Parts of the pack build on the universal-modder playbook by rehan-remade, which is MIT-licensed. Those parts keep their MIT license and attribution, and nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under it.

9.4 Accuracy

Verdicts and recipes are based on public documentation and may be wrong or out of date, especially after a game update. Check them yourself before relying on them.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service or the pack to:

• Bypass, disable or tamper with anti-cheat, DRM or license checks.
• Cheat in, inject into or mod multiplayer, competitive or live-service sessions.
• Create malware, phishing content or attack tools.
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of anyone, including game publishers.
• Interfere with or attack the Service or its payment flow.
• Resell or redistribute the pack without our prior written approval.
• Break any applicable law, regulation, game terms of service or card-network rule.

11. Data, privacy and security

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short:

• Payments: card data is handled only by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor (Waffo Pancake) and never touches or is stored on our servers.
• Orders: we receive your checkout email, order ID, amount and payment status, and use them only to deliver the pack, send your download email and handle support, refunds and tax records.
• Email delivery: download emails are sent through a transactional email provider. We do not send marketing email.
• Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare, which may process standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and reliability.
• We keep order records only as long as needed for support, refunds and legal or tax obligations. To ask what we hold or to request deletion, email [email protected].

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

12.1 Disclaimer

The Service and the pack are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy.

12.2 Modding risk

Modding can corrupt saves, break after game updates or conflict with other mods. Always back up your saves and game files first. Content produced by AI agents may be incorrect; review it before you run it. We are not responsible for lost data or for account action taken by a game publisher.

12.3 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. We may refuse or cancel an order, or disable a download link, in cases of fraud, serious breach of these Terms or legal requirement. If we stop offering the pack, links already sold keep working for at least 90 days so you can save your copy; if we cancel your access for a reason other than your breach, we refund you in full.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please email [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

15. General

We may update these Terms. For material changes we post the new version on this page with a new version number and effective date at least 14 days before it takes effect. A change never applies to a purchase made before it took effect. If any provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
